A Senior QA reports to a QA Lead. Works closely with the QA lead, QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, project managers, designers, and developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered throughout the account. A Senior QA brings analytical thinking and support to the team, and QA leads on many tasks.You will:Responsible for performing any of the QA tasks with barely any guidancePlan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projectsResponsible for analyzing and understanding requirements and design specifications to ensure a quality processResponsible for attending, leading and/or organizing meetings on behalf of the teamResponsible for promoting and evaluating QA values and principles for the QA team, everyone in the company, and our clients.Support QA lead to work and motivate other team members in a team-oriented and collaborative environment with technical and non-technical team members.Responsible for communicating test results, issues, and risks to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the different channelsResponsible for promoting effective communication, participation, and involvement amongst QA members.Responsible for test data identificationCreating and maintaining comprehensive test plansWriting and maintaining test cases/scripts following high-quality standardsCreate traceability matrix documents based on project requirementsCreate checklist documentation based on project requirementsPerforming functional and non-functional testingEffectively communicating statusesDevelop test design documents to cover requirementsPlan and schedule test activities to ensure qualityApply industry-standard testing methodology, strategies, and industry best practicesCreate defect tickets and track issues to resolution and risk analysis of said issuesReport creation and related metrics at different levelsOverseeing, delegating, and coordinating work to other QA Associates and apprentices, as needed.Development of junior staff membersCreating and executing regression tests based on design specifications and requirementsConducting research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks related to QASupport QA Lead in QA estimations.Responsible for identifying with the QA lead areas where automation tools can be applied for the benefit of the projectIdentify and raise risksSupport the QA lead in onboarding, coaching, and mentoring activities.You have:English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation)5+ years of experience in software quality assurance (Web development experience is a plus)Expertise in reviewing HTML and inline CSS codeProofreading/copy editing experienceKnowledge of Agile Methodologies for software developmentExperience working with local and offshore teamsExperience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira and/or similarProficiency in key hardware and software, including iOS and Android mobile devices, Mac and Windows desktop platforms, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Jira and content management systemsExperience testing marketing emails for content, functionality, and rendering a plusExperience with scripting/automation (e.g., Selenium) is a plusBachelor's degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experienceWhat We Offer:Prepaid Medical Assistance for COP 300,000Vacations: 3 additional days of vacation to the 15 legal days, subject to the applicable policies in the companyOn your birthday: Half a day for you to celebrate and a birthday bonusYou can choose a day off between Christmas or New YearYou will have three personal days, which you can use for your matters, each calendar yearAt Critical Mass, we value our employees and offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
