Hiring Department Honors College Job Description Performs administrative and office support activities for the MU Honors College, including the MedOpp Program and the Fellowships office. The College: The Honors College at the University of Missouri serves roughly 2250 high-achieving undergraduates through a challenging curriculum, academic programs, and extra-curricular events. Among the programs housed within the College, MedOpp serves more than 1500 students per year with general programming and nearly 200 per year in an intensive application and credentialing process. The Fellowships Office serves several hundred students per year. Responsibilities: Duties include scheduling student appointments and meetings; event planning and coordination; invoicing and fee processing; communication with constituents, MU departments, outside vendors, and donors; creating and maintaining databases and rosters; coordinating with campus units; ordering materials; updating printed materials; providing administrative assistance; proofreading and editing; answering phones; collecting mail; and other office duties as needed. Candidates should review the College's website prior to applying. This is a part-time, temporary position. Shift 20 hours per week, between 8-5, with specific hours flexible and open to discussion. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience demonstrating comparable knowledge and skills. Preferred Qualifications University degree Three years of office experience Experience in program and event planning Experience in educational settings Administrative and editorial support skills Familiarity with social media Excellent organizational and communication skills Attention to detail Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop Anticipated Hiring Range Salary: $14.80 - $19.92 hourly Grade: GGS-006 Title: Office Support Assistant IV Internal applicants can find their title in the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
