2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants We are seeking a highly motivated Sovereign Analyst with a strong interest in financial markets to join our Research team. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing Latin American countries' macroeconomic trends, developing insights into market dynamics, writing reports, and working with databases. Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze macroeconomic indicators, central bank policies, geopolitical developments, and Latam financial trends. Produce quantitative analysis and research on the sovereigns under coverage, providing an assessment of hard currency and local currency sovereign bonds. The ability to assess various economic drivers such as government policy, geopolitical and local political factors affecting sovereign creditworthiness. Work with data teams to ensure consistent and comprehensive market views. Support proprietary news and analysis teams to produce actionable reports on emerging sovereign credit situations under coverage. Publish research reports covering historical and forward-looking data related to sovereigns under coverage. Requirements: Fluency in English (mandatory). The candidate will be required to participate in team meetings and write research reports entirely in English. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, or a related field. At least two years of experience in macroeconomic research, financial markets, or investment analysis. Strong understanding of monetary policy, fiscal dynamics, and debt markets. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid grasp of economic data. Proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of the global fixed income and currency markets. An understanding of credit ratings and rating methodologies is a plus. A demonstrated interest in emerging market fixed income.
