Job Purpose and Role The Senior Product Owner serves as the primary advocate for the customer, ensuring that the product consistently delivers value and meets user needs. This role works in close partnership with UI/UX architects and the development team to drive timely, high-quality product releases. As a key leader, the Senior Product Owner is ultimately accountable for the product’s success and alignment with business objectives, guiding the team from concept to launch and beyond. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with the executive leadership team to establish and communicate a compelling product vision and strategic goals to development teams, stakeholders, and clients. - Own the creation, prioritization, and continuous refinement of the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximizing value delivery. - Lead and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Provide clear guidance, remove obstacles, and facilitate decision-making to keep the team focused and productive. - Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing, sales) and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product lifecycle. - Leverage market research, client feedback, and data analysis to inform product strategy and feature prioritization. Anticipate market trends and proactively identify growth opportunities. - Make informed decisions and trade-offs on behalf of the business, balancing client needs, technical constraints, and company goals. - Oversee beta testing initiatives, including selecting pilot sites, evaluating performance against KPIs (e.g., achieving 80% target goals), and synthesizing actionable feedback for continuous improvement. - Lead the team in ensuring timely product releases that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations, maintaining a high standard of quality and usability. - Monitor product performance using analytics and user feedback. Iterate on features and processes to drive ongoing product enhancements. - Mentor other product owners and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. - Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues to maintain project momentum and stakeholder confidence. - Maintain clear, consistent communication with all team members and stakeholders regarding progress, changes, and strategic direction. Qualifications - Proven experience conducting user research and synthesizing insights through user flows, personas, and other methodologies. - Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities, distinguish between critical roadblocks and distractions, and make sound decisions under pressure. - Strong data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to inform product decisions. - Proactive and self-motivated, with the judgment to know when to seek guidance. - Extensive experience gathering, documenting, and communicating detailed requirements, including functional, technical, reporting, and data needs. - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse teams and stakeholders. - Deep experience working in Agile environments, breaking down epics into actionable stories, and guiding teams through the software development lifecycle. - Track record of successful technology product design, implementation, and delivery. - Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. - Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and mentoring. - Proficiency with Jira and cloud-based architectures.
