Job Description - Technical Writer (2500341) Job Number: 2500341 Description We are seeking a proficient Technical Writer to join our team. This role offers flexibility in terms of employment type, either as a contract or contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate must be capable of translating content into both French Canadian and Spanish through the use of AI. The primary focus will be on translating approved and edited content, then creating technical outputs using MadCap Flare. Responsibilities Translate and adapt content into French Canadian and Spanish using a translation tool, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance. Create and maintain technical documentation using MadCap Flare. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation. Comply with and help enforce documentation standards, policies, and procedures. Adapt and update documentation based on feedback and new information. Create visual aids such as diagrams and charts to assist readers in understanding complex concepts. Report status, issues, and risks to the Documentation Manager on a regular basis. Perform ad-hoc activities as required. Contribute to the development and maintenance of style guides and templates for consistency. Qualifications Experience: Excellent writing and communication skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize effectively. High level of self-motivation and desire to grow in the role. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a virtual team environment. Solution-oriented with strong analysis skills. Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and Teams. Preferred: Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS. Preferred: Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus, but training can be provided. Experience using help authoring tools such as MadCap Flare is preferred, but not required.
