Overview We are seekingan Electrical Capital Planning Engineer to join our CapitalPlanning Division (CPD) within our Power Systems PlanningDepartment. CPD administers the planning of capital projectssponsored by Power Systems Admin Area and interfaces with utilitiesto initiate agreements on bulk power supply for Saudi Aramcoprojects. Your primary role is to conduct and support thetechno-economic evaluation and development of business cases forcapital projects sponsored by Power Systems. In addition, you willdevelop long term master plans to assess the existing electricalsystems configuration and then address potential new installations,upgrades, expansions, replacements, retrofits, or demolitions ofPower Systems assets across different operating areas of SaudiAramco. Key Responsibilities As the successful candidate you willbe required to perform the following: 1. Interface with Utilitiesto initiate agreements on bulk power supply and cogenerationinterconnection for Saudi Aramco projects. 2. Evaluate Utilityprepared bulk power supply plans and cogeneration interconnectionplans to make sure that the plans meet Saudi Aramco requirements.3. Interface with various corporate organizations like FacilitiesPlanning, Project Management, Law and Proponent to review andfinalize bulk power supply and cogeneration interconnectionagreements for Saudi Aramco projects. 4. Develop long term masterplans to address new installations, upgrades, expansions,replacements, retrofits, or demolitions of Power Systems assets indifferent operating areas of Saudi Aramco. 5. Conducttechno-economic analysis and thoroughly evaluate different projectalternatives to recommend best investment decisions with maximumattainable Net Present Value (NPV). 6. Scrutinize technical studiesto align with Saudi Aramco project proposal procedures. Suchstudies include equipment reliability, condition assessment,obsolescence, standard compliance, etc. 7. Interface with variouscorporate organizations like Facilities Planning and CorporateFinance. 8. Mentoring, developing, and providing expertise guidancefor young workforce. Minimum Requirements - As the successfulcandidate you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in ElectricalEngineering. A Master Degree is desirable. - You should have aminimum of 10 years’ experience in a multinational business withinthe power sector. - Essential strong background in capital planningfor power infrastructure projects ranging from generation,transmission, or distribution either with utility or end-users. -Essential Professional experience with computerized power systemanalysis tools such as Electrical Transient Analyzer Program(ETAP).
