Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Medellín, Colombia Type: Full-Time We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our Backup Engineering team. This role requires a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, backend development, and scalable cloud-based architecture. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services using GoLang and C#, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, efficient, and maintainable software solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with experience in distributed systems, microservices, and modern DevOps practices. While proficiency in GoLang and C# is highly valued, strong experience in other object-oriented languages (such as Java or Python) is also considered. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend services using GoLang and C#. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and implement new features. - Optimize and scale microservices and cloud-based applications. - Follow best practices for code quality, performance, and security. - Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical documentation. - Debug and resolve issues in production and development environments. - Support deployment and monitoring of applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. - Contribute to legacy systems using PHP and Python as needed. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 4+ years of experience in backend development with GoLang, C#, or other object-oriented languages. - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. - Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). - Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). - Strong debugging and software optimization skills. - Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab. - Ability to work effectively in agile and fast-paced development environments. - Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
