Job Description **SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION**: **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**: **Functional Expertise**: - Microsoft ACL table (file/folder permissions) - Active Directory Architecture - Microsoft clustering - Performance monitoring techniques on server software and hardware - Able to work remotely on server hardware and software issues - VMWare ESX 2.5x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x **Leadership/Change**: - May take on several components of a project or a complex component of a project. - Works under broad supervision - Applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues. - Follows company policies to implement changes. **Interpersonal** - Takes ownership of learning about server and storage technologies. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner. - Able to work with internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner**.** **Business**: - Understands how own performance objectives align with business unit objectives. - Maximizes business/unit/group financial results through personal accomplishments. - Responds with urgency to customer needs and solves routine customer problems. Discrete servers - Blade servers - Storage Area Networks - Experience with Active Directory tools and utilities. VMWare management console. - Understanding of EMC SAN Storage hardware - Familiarity with network and san switching technologies - Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills - Able to work in a round-the-clock, global operation 7 days x 24 hours - Strict adherence to company standards and procedures. - Excellent trouble shooting skills **Education Requirements**: - Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience - Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 MSCE/MSCA - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT or customer support **Desired Qualifications**: - Background and understanding of IT controls and compliance. - Solid PC skills and proficiency in office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.) - Understanding of ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC and NIST standards. - Experienced in ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: PLC, SCADA, HMI, EtherNet/IP, especially programming, troubleshooting, design and installation.
