About the team: FP&A Mexico Supply is a strategic and dedicated team providing comprehensive financial partnership, driving insightful analysis, robust forecasting, and precise reporting to optimize performance across our Tequila & Mezcal Plants. About the role: The Junior FP&A Analyst supports the financial performance and strategic decision-making for the Tequila & Mezcal Plants. This role is responsible for supporting the integrity and timeliness of month-end closes and reporting, assisting in continuous improvements in financial and operational processes, and helping to identify insights that drive value. Role Responsibilities: Period Closing and Financial Results: Prepare and process Journal Entry for the monthly capitalization of the biological asset. Prepare and process Journals of expenses that affect BS accrual accounts. Perform manual journals that are specific to agriculture entities to ensure proper accounting. Analyze expenditure variation for each area versus budget (AOP) and previous year. Analyze detailed variations by type of expenditure, productive process and agricultural area. Analyze the operational results for agriculture entities. Proactively participate in the month-end close, reporting in accordance with the agreed internal and group timetable. Ensure the completeness and the accuracy of financial reporting process. Prepare / support preparation of management and statutory reporting information for the Agricultural Operation of Agavera. Activities typically include (but not outstanding to): updating budgets and forecasts, month and year end processing, producing reports, basic analysis and checking, data integrity and data quality, banking operations. Support discussions with the agriculture team and provide information vital for decision making. Actively participate in business reviews, including generating relevant information and making slides to present to the agriculture team. Closing Preparation Period: Periodically review the status of biological assets, make inventory adjustments, review harvests and losses, advise on firm liquidations, and other activities related to biological assets. Maintain recurring conversations with the operations team to ensure the different processes, find deviations and holistically understand the DJA production process. Support to FC: Provide evidence as required for audit purposes. Projects: Participate actively in the design process, provide insights and raise risks. Experience / skills required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business. Understanding of financial statements and financial planning. Ability to synthesize financial data into clear and actionable insights. Strong communication and social skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP expertise is a plus). Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is an advantage.
