Alfa Laval Sales Engineers combine their technology skills and knowledge with excellent communication and presentation skills. The role of a Service Sales Engineer is to develop and execute key account plans to expand customer base and customer share in Colombia. Reach and maintain volume and profitability targets. Visit existing Alfa Laval customers in the territory, advise customers on Preventive or Predictive maintenance of Alfa Laval equipment and generate Sales enquiries. Sale of spare parts and services to existing and new customers in several industries. Manage key accounts and build good long-term customer relationships at all levels including senior management. Secure and maintain Performance Agreements with key customers. Provide technical product support to customers. Periodic account reviews with customer and Regional Service Manager. All this by understanding customer needs and recognizing new business opportunities by being successful in expanding our customer base and in growing our share at existing customers. Always with the aim to support our customers in optimizing their processes. You do this by combining a profound understanding of applications, products & systems and Alfa Laval technologies, such as separation, heat transfer and fluid handling. The customer group includes power plants, refineries, offshore / onshore oil & gas industries, and others from the ED & MD accounts assigned which has Alfa Laval equipment. Your speaking partners may vary from plant manager, superintendents, project engineers to technical managers and purchasers. Local Key tasks, responsibilities & processes (but not limited to): Development the customer segmentation and sales plan for the region and business under his/her responsibility. Development of the customer loyalty plan. Analysis of competitive situations. Has a good understanding of our value proposition process and has the skills to sell the value of our products and services. Sets & negotiates prices in accordance with policies and guidelines provided by the Division manager. Provides input for the pricing strategy. Responsible for the developing and maintaining sales and customer relationships. Follows alternative solutions and products from competitors in the market. Participates and/or organizes customer seminars and education programs. Analyze and selects prospects by using tools like Installed base, CRM and IB Dashboard tool. Initiates and coordinates marcom activities with the Marcom department. Sells new services and upgrading solutions directly to the End Users. Travels throughout the assigned territory to call on customers and prospects and ensures that all new products are professionally introduced. Is direct responsible of elaborating more complex quotes such as services agreements, Upgrading and Services. Improve / keep up to date the information in our CRM system. Profile: Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Skills and Knowledge: Excellent relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Passion for learning new things. Advanced level of English. Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience.
