This position supports in-country and D.C. staff in the day-to-day operations and in the designing, planning, and implementing of project activities. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**: **Analysis** - Complete basic desk research and provide summarized findings in a clear, concise, and understandable manner, with objectives, relevant facts, data, and conclusions presented as required. **Project Implementation Support** - Provide administrative, financial and logístical support for project activity implementation. - Support management of partnerships with subrecipients during all stages of grant cycle (proposal, implementation. and close-out). - Assist in monitoring project implementation (activities, expenses, and data collection) of subrecipients related to the approved proposal package. Contribute to identify and report progress, challenges, and opportunities. - Assist with the execution of activity implementation by performing administrative (e.g., invoice processing, data entry, travel scheduling, and meeting coordination, etc.) and programmatic assignments in accordance with established expectations and timelines. **Operations** - Support the planning, logistics, and execution of team meetings and events with external parties in compliance with host country requirements, Freedom House policies, and donor regulations. Attend meetings as required to provide onsite support or as a development opportunity. **External Relations** - Develop effective professional relationships with grantees and other local partner organizations. - Attend outside meetings and events as requested and prepare notes for the supervisor. **QUALIFICATIONS**: **Education**: - Bachelor’s degree in international development, law, public policy, political science, public administration, human rights. **Experience**: - At least 1 to 2 years of administrative and/or project implementation experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
