Hiring Department College of Agriculture Food & Natural Resources (CAFNR) Analytical Services Job Description CAFNR Analytical Services is seeking a Lab Technician to perform routine laboratory activities supporting analysis of foods, feeds, and related byproducts. The technician will work with basic communication skills and exchange information regularly. Responsibilities Include: Process samples for analysis, including grinding, blending, and weighing. Clean laboratory glassware and equipment. Receive, organize, and store samples following safety and other requirements. Record all data (paper and electronic) in specified forms and assist in reviewing laboratory data as needed. Prepare chemical solutions. Maintain record books for laboratory balances, such as electronic scales. Keep laboratory rooms clean and organized. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Shift Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or a comparable combination of experience, knowledge, and skills. Anticipated Hiring Range $13.75 - $17.50/hour, determined by education, skills, experience, and organizational requirements.
