Job Description We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer Associate to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the overall success of the Core Banking & Integration group, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. The incumbent must ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. - This includes championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. - The successful candidate will develop cost-effective and efficient applications to meet business objectives by analyzing user requirements, providing technical specifications, and designing and developing/maintaining programs according to standards. - They will also provide production and user acceptance testing support to assigned applications by identifying, evaluating, escalating, resolving problems, and supporting other team members. A key aspect of this role is providing technical guidance and training to less experienced analysts and programmers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Required Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field. - 1-3 years developer experience - 1-3 years' work experience as AS400 RPGLE Developer. - Experience with AS/400, RPGLE, Free Format RPG, DB2, SQL, VS Code, BitBucket - Experience working in an agile development environment (Confluence, Jira, CiAD pipeline, Scrum/Kanban).
