Job Title Senior Geometric Design Engineer Position We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geometric Design Engineer to join our Linear Infrastructure and Site Civils Team. This role is critical to strengthening our technical delivery capabilities from our enterprise design center in Colombia. - Lead and develop geometric designs for highways, urban roads, and airport projects from conceptual phase through detailed design. - Perform designs for earthworks, platforms, and horizontal and vertical traffic signage. - Model road corridors, airport platforms, runways, taxiways, and terrain surfaces using Autodesk Civil 3D. - Interpret, justify, and implement traffic, road capacity, and road safety studies in the proposed geometric designs. - Prepare design reports, technical documentation, specifications, and quantity take-offs. - Ensure that designs comply with local and international standards as well as internal quality protocols. - Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (drainage, structures, lighting, pavements, etc.). - Participate in technical meetings with clients and authorities for design validation and approval. - Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables, ensuring technical consistency and schedule compliance. - Supervise and provide technical support to CAD designers and modelers within the project team. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related fields, with + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education of proven experience in geometric roadway design, including highways. - Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (required). - Demonstrated experience in delivering designs up to detailed construction documentation level. - Knowledge of AASHTO standards and/or local roadway and airport design regulations. - Technical management and leadership skills for geometric design activities. - Intermediate or higher level of technical English (for reading standards and specifications). - Valid professional engineering license. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in the design of complex intersections, access ramps, runways, taxiways, and airside platforms. - Participation in road safety audits or coordination of complementary elements (drainage, barriers, landscaping). - Proficiency in additional modeling software such as InfraWorks, Navisworks, Istram, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer. - Knowledge of Autodesk Subassembly Composer, Dynamo. - Ability to lead technical proposals and support bidding processes. - Specialization or master's degree in Geometric Roadway Design, Transportation, or Road Infrastructure.
