We’re looking for an experienced Accounting & Operations Manager who has successfully run the accounting and administrative operations of a service-based US company. This is not a role for someone looking to specialize in a single area — we’re looking for someone hands-on, versatile, and proactive, who can manage everything from bookkeeping to payroll to inventory, and who can bring strategic thinking to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Must-Haves Proven experience running the accounting operations of a US-based service company Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (AR/AP) management Payroll experience using Gusto Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Strong organizational and time management skills – able to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively Experience tracking and managing inventory, including ordering and supplies Strategic mindset – ability to suggest better systems and workflows Ability to work independently and take ownership Job costing knowledge – understands and can apply cost tracking to specific jobs/projects Solid understanding of general accounting functions Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Fluent, professional English communication (spoken and written) Previous experience running an accounting department or small business finance function Nice-to-Haves A degree in Accounting or a related field High attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping Strong interpersonal skills – able to work well with internal teams and external vendors Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or inventory management tools Experience managing multiple legal entities or complex bookkeeping setups Familiarity with US tax reporting and compliance Previous exposure to HR tasks such as benefits administration and onboarding Able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM - CST Compensation: Paid in USD Location: 100% remote opportunity If this opportunity sounds good to you, send us your resume!
