The Junior Financial Controller role is responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting, finance & control processes for a dedicated market within Experian. This position requires providing advice on accounting and governance matters. This role offers wider commercial exposure, business partnering opportunities, and direct exposure to the Market Financial Director with the opportunity to leave a lasting impact across the business. You will report to the Risk and Control Lead. Key responsibilities include: - Managing the financial performance of the market, focusing on revenue, cost, balance sheet, and cash flow. - Ensuring all financial data is complete, accurate, and aligned with Experian's accounting policies and IFRS. - Delivering high-quality, financial data and reporting. - Completing month-end and year-end close activities following group timelines and standards. - Preparing detailed and informative monthly balance sheet reconciliations. - Overseeing and reviewing transactions and reconciliations performed by the Shared Service Centre. - Ensuring revenue recognition is compliant with Experian policies. - Partnering with the business to maintain a complete and up-to-date contract repository. - Collaborating with the Billings Team to ensure accurate invoicing supported by contractual documentation. - Maintaining internal control and governance framework, ensuring compliance with global and local reporting requirements. - Improving efficiency across all financial processes. - Leading and implementing best practices in financial operations, process re-engineering, and automation.
