Purpose As an Architect in International Banking Technology, you will hold a high-impact role. The Solution Architect manages tasks and techniques to liaise among stakeholders, understand organizational structure, policies, and operations, and recommend technical/business solutions to achieve organizational goals. You are a hands-on Architect with a results-oriented and curious mindset, possessing deep technical skills. You will guide IB country teams to deliver solutions effectively, ensuring compliance with bank standards and technology correctness. Accountabilities Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Design, architect, and document effective, quality solutions to resolve complex business problems and support business needs. Analyze complex business requirements; generate technical specifications for software components and applications. Build, architect, design, and implement distributed global systems. Experience in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development. Modernize legacy systems or lead transformational initiatives. Create architectural patterns to improve assessment processes. Communicate with larger audiences via reports, dashboards, and educational sessions. Serve as an expert resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis. Apply industry best practices in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting solutions. Ensure security and compliance standards are met. Adapt quickly to evolving environments and change. Communicate effectively with business and technology leadership, promoting ideas and gaining consensus. Implement a governance model with automated architecture assessments based on standards and policies. Drive the implementation of trusted policies and standards with internal teams like Security, Infrastructure, Data. Deploy solutions that embed the governance framework, policies, and workflows. Challenge and improve architectural design principles to enhance security, resiliency, and technology footprint. Research emerging technologies and propose necessary changes. Inform stakeholders of issues with current solutions. Create enterprise reference architectures. Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment. Define and modify architectural guidelines, best practices, and technologies for consistency. Perform proof-of-concept tests to evaluate and integrate new practices and tools. Participate in training programs to build technical skills and enhance business value. Incorporate the Bank’s risk culture into daily activities and decisions. Ensure operational excellence and compliance with operational, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk controls. Education / Experience / Other Information Must have: 8+ years of software engineering experience. Experience building and designing distributed global systems, including network, security, data, or application development. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills for building consensus. Disciplined development methodology knowledge and familiarity with software technologies and concepts. Experience with large-scale system design and specification. Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and architectural styles. Experience with SDLC governance and API design. Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level). Proficiency in one of the following: JS-TS React, Java, Kotlin, Node, Python, Native Applications, or similar. Preferred: Experience in modernizing legacy systems and transformational initiatives. Experience with cloud deployment, hybrid architectures, and cloud migration planning.
