AML Compliance Analyst Role This is a trainee professional position that requires knowledge of processes, procedures and systems used in carrying out assigned tasks. The role involves understanding concepts and principles upon which the job is based as well as interacting with others to accomplish team objectives. Evaluative judgements are made based on analysis of factual information. Problem resolution skills are developed by identifying and selecting solutions through application of acquired technical experience. - Develops, recommends and implements processes and controls to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) rules and regulations. - Monitors and analyzes transactions to validate appropriateness of activities. - Verifies employee qualifications related to AML regulation. - Additional duties as assigned. - Assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Key Responsibilities: - Implementation of effective AML controls to mitigate risks. - Transaction monitoring and analysis to identify potential issues. - Employee qualification verification for AML regulatory requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum 1-2 years of experience in AML preferred. - Prior experience in the financial field preferably within AML. - Knowledge of AML regulations preferred. - Proficiency with MS office. - Good verbal/written skills and analytical skills. - Intermediate-Advanced level English.
