An opportunity has arisen to join the Asset Management Team at Cubico Sustainable Investments as a Maintenance Engineer for Cubico Colombia. Reporting into the Head of Asset Management, this role has responsibility to oversee the maintenance and operational availability of transmission and distribution assets and solar photovoltaic plants. Responsible for reviewing maintenance plans, performing facility inspections and ensuring compliance with contractual specifications in operation and maintenance services. This role requires the evaluation of the maintenance contractor's performance, seeking to validate the proper execution of maintenance activities in accordance with industry standards and major equipment manufacturer's requirements. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and oversee maintenance plans for T&D and solar PV assets. Conduct site visits to inspect operational assets and verify the execution of the relevant maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports, where involve the compliance of contractual obligations from the O&M contractors. Maintenance plan supervision of execution from O&M contractors, checking full workflow cycle from Maintenance plans, from planning activities to monitoring execution, closing and review process. Suggesting optimizations for reducing downtimes and OPEX savings. Permanently evaluate the procedures, methods and systems used to carry out the maintenance activity for its continuous improvement. Follows up on the monthly, six-monthly and annual maintenance of the installation. Periodically evaluate the maintenance processes of the installation in order to improve the instructions and procedures implemented. Evaluate the economic-technical offers of service and material suppliers Promote a safety-first culture and ensure alignment with HSE standards. Support the implementation and continuously improve local asset management systems and processes consistent with Cubico’s global policies and standards. Interfacing with construction team and support to Asset Management team for verification of handover process of new assets. Maintain a positive safety culture and ensure Asset Management activities are undertaken in accordance with local legislation and Cubico’s HSE policies. Ensure best practice asset management in the asset portfolio, working closely with functional teams across the business to optimise HSE, commercial and technical performance. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, electromechanical engineering. Proven experience in transmission and distribution industry, especially in maintenance or operations. A passion for HSE and a good awareness of HSE legislation and standards. Experience with Health and Safety requirements of an operational site. Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Desired Requirements Ability to review and reassess priorities in response to changing situations and deadlines Educated to post grade degree level Knowledge of market regulations in Colombia's T&D business, renewable energy, and power generation sectors, including comprehensive understanding of the Colombian RETIE code. Knowledge of renewable energy systems, especially solar PV, is a plus. Proficiency in automation tools and maintenance reporting platforms. Proficiency in English is a plus.
