Backend Engineer Position The Lifetime Value Co. is a high-growth organization looking for a skilled Backend engineer to join our team. This role involves implementing fraud-blocking strategies for post-paywall transactions, improving billing processes, managing integrations with external providers, and addressing tech debt to enhance developer and team quality of life. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of software engineering experience, fluency in at least one object-oriented language, familiarity with SQL and databases, experience with Git, and knowledge of collaborative coding practices and agile development. - Optimize fraud-blocking measures for post-paywall purchases, especially working with external providers. - Manage integration of new fraud and chargeback data providers. - Collaborate with senior engineers to migrate business logic to separate services and address tech debt. - Improve internal tooling and automation to enhance team productivity. - Identify future opportunities in the evolving online payments space. - Utilize learning resources to stay updated on development techniques, share knowledge, and learn from others. - 3+ years of software engineering experience. - Bachelor's Degree, Technical Degree, Bootcamp in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - Fluency in at least one object-oriented language. - Familiarity with SQL and databases. - Experience with Git. - Ability to learn new technologies quickly. - Understanding of testing methodologies like TDD, BDD, and integration testing. - Knowledge of collaborative coding practices and agile development. - Self-motivated and resourceful. - Entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking. - Excellent communication skills.
