Job Overview This role will be responsible for leading, supervising, planning, and directing activities concerned with the Quality Assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products for the HUS Segment of Hubbell. Major responsibilities include managing the Quality Management System (QMS) for multiple HUS manufacturing facilities to meet the requirements of the HUS Quality Manual and ISO 9001, leading the Quality Management Council, and participating in internal and external quality audits. The role also involves supporting HUS operations by representing the Quality Assurance business aspect. A Day In The Life Technical Knowledge Manage ISO 9001:2015 Registered QMS. Coordinate with external ISO registrars for sustainment and expansion of certifications. Identify and justify CAPEX for critical equipment. Cross-train to cover all department roles as needed. Support writing and overseeing work instructions for new equipment. Collect and analyze manufacturing data to improve quality, publishing monthly reports. De-risk and document shifts in QA activities across the organization. Department Management Manage 3-5 Quality Managers directly and up to 30 indirectly. Mentor and advocate for team members. Lead internal and external audits. Implement new measurement technologies and ongoing training. Oversee calibration systems and cross-training. Participate in 5S audits and manage customer complaint responses. Ensure timely fulfillment of QMS requirements and conduct periodic reviews. Manufacturing Site Support Ensure effective completion of ISO internal audits. Support Quality concerns and management reviews. Maintain QMS and Quality Manual, update work instructions and ERP systems. Provide quality reports on scrap/repair rates. Approve all ECOs and Deviations. Conduct vendor qualification visits and support ISO expansion efforts. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise 15 employees directly and lead approximately 30 Quality Managers in a matrix organization. What Will Help You Thrive in This Role? Education and Skills Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred. At least 5 years of related experience. Expertise in ISO 9001:2015, with additional certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus. Language Skills Ability to interpret technical and business documentation and communicate effectively. Mathematical Skills Proficiency in statistical analysis and applying mathematical concepts to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Computer Skills Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, Visio, PowerPoint, and ERP systems. Physical Requirements Willingness to travel up to 50%, and ability to perform physical tasks as required.
