Their ability to coordinate effectively, solve problems quickly, and communicate efficiently makes them a key component of successful transportation operations. Responsabilities: Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and cargo to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs. Plan efficient routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. Maintain constant communication with drivers, clients, and other relevant stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of dispatched orders, vehicle logs, and delivery status. Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Address and resolve issues related to delays, delivery discrepancies, and customer complaints. Work closely with warehouse staff, logistics teams, and external partners to coordinate the movement of goods. Utilize transportation management software and tools to streamline dispatch operations. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and resolving issues efficiently. Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely servicing. Requirements: At least two years of relevant experience. Prior experience in drayage operations is essential, with a solid understanding of port and terminal procedures, as well as regulatory compliance in freight handling. Dispatchers need to communicate clearly and effectively with both customers and service providers. Strong organizational skills Problem-solving ability Understanding the area they are dispatching services in can be crucial for efficient routing and coordination. Familiarity with dispatch software and the ability to navigate computer systems quickly and accurately is essential.
