We are looking for a Senior Educational Consultant to join the Educational Consulting & Training team. The team supports customers in the effective implementation of Anthology’s products to support online teaching and learning, ensure successful adoption of our products, and maximize the educational returns on the customer’s investment. We provide customers with consulting services which include defining requirements and business rules, facilitate strategy sessions, identify implementation strategies and product use cases, provide product training, provide instructional design, and course design services and lead the process that delivers our customer’s system to the production state. This position supports the delivery of Learning Technology Planning, product training, and Blackboard Professional Development courses. A successful candidate will have experience working with educational technologies in a higher education, business, or governmental capacity. The candidate will have experience working with learning management systems as an instructor, instructional designer, or system administrator. Primary responsibilities include: Delivering expert-level remote and onsite product and best practices training Identifying gaps in client skills, processes, or infrastructure Developing client-specific implementation project plans and timelines Identifying customer risks and communicating with leadership Conducting meetings with customers and stakeholders Analyzing client needs and identifying our products and services that align to these needs Managing a portfolio of customers that includes strategic, consortia and complex clients Developing training materials and training documentation that aligns with Anthology's best practices and use cases Staying current with updates and industry trends to maintain high-quality delivery and consulting services. This role requires 25% travel The Candidate: Required skills/qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in a related field (e.g. education, information technology, business) or equivalent experience 2+ years consulting experience, with experience consulting to educational institutions, or experience in management or administration within an educational institution Proven experience successfully implementing software solutions in diverse client environments Experience with e-learning management technology, preferably Blackboard Demonstrable knowledge of global higher education or public education markets Proven ability to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically distributed virtual team environment and to build relationships with internal and external organizations. Dynamic, creative problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills Fluency in written and spoken Spanish are required Ability to communicate and deliver services in English Preferred skills/qualifications: Master’s degree in related field (e.g. education, information technology, business) Previous experience in the education industry and with e-learning technologies Background in content/knowledge management, digital asset management, as well as with education related technologies A background in instructional design and/or online learning theory Ability to deliver services in additional languages such as Portuguese This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required.
