The **Senior Environmental** **Consultant** will be with the Environmental, Social, and Governance | Sustainable Investment Advisory team in **Bogotá, Colombia**, providing environmentally sensitive and sustainable solutions to unique engineering challenges. The role will work to continue developing and growing the business in Colombia and the Americas South Geography, and work in close collaboration with the Advisory team in San Francisco, Houston, New York and the Americas Region. This role will be involved with our Global Lenders’ Environmental and Social Advisory practice. *** This role is based in Bogotá, Columbia. Please submit your CV in English. We do not require copies of diplomas, work certifications, or other documents at this stage.** **The opportunity**: - Produce, and review reports related to E&S; due diligence and monitoring processes in Colombia and Latin America. - Consult with local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of projects when vital. - Attend meetings with clients to address their needs and discuss environmental issues. - Project manage and meet client expectations, handle stakeholders, deliver quality outcomes. - Conduct and coordinate site visits, while handling partners (client, communities, etc.) and ensuring the safety of Arup employees - Support business development efforts by responding to RFPs, identifying potential opportunities with client organizations, participating, and speaking at industry conferences, and staying informed about market trends. - Curiosity about leading and mentoring teams. **The skills**: **Minimum Qualifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related environmental consulting profession required. - Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects (roads, energy, rail, ports, etc.) required. - Experience working with multilateral agencies IFC, CAF, IDB, etc. required. - Must possess excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels in English and Spanish required. **Preferred**: - Experience in developing, reviewing and implementing Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), and/or Environmental and Social Management Systems. - Experience managing environmental and social impacts and risks in line with international standards (IFC, Equator Principles, etc.) on construction sites or operational assets. - Working experience with carbon markets and carbon accounting - Experience developing business, preparing proposals etc. - Line management experience. **The Benefits** At Arup, we care about each member’s success, so we can grow together.
