We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to help expand the infrastructure behind the experience. In this role, you'll be at the heart of the data engine and automating pipelines, shaping models, and integrating complex data from diverse sources. If you are excited to solve complex technical challenges, passionate about the power of data, and eager to shape the future of customer engagement in the experience economy, we'd love to hear from you. **Responsibilities**: - Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using: - AWS Redshift for data warehousing - AWS Lambda for event-driven API ingestion - Astronomer (Airflow) for orchestration and scheduling - DLT (Data Load Tool)—the open-source Python library—to streamline and standardize data ingestion - DBT for modeling and transforming data into tables and views - Automate and monitor existing workflows to achieve self-healing, high-availability pipelines - Ingest and integrate data from diverse customer sources, including: - Paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook, Instagram, etc.) - CRMs & Sales systems tied to ticketing and transaction data - Implement observability best practices—data quality checks, alerting, and performance tuning—across all pipelines - Collaborate closely with analytics, product, and marketing teams to ensure datasets are documented, accessible, and fit for purpose Contribute to the evolution of Xeus' Lightning platform, empowering clients with real-time business insights **Qualifications**: - Excellent **English** **proficiency**in verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - ** 7+ years** of experience in **data engineering** or **data platform development**: - ** 5+ years** of hands-on experience with **Amazon Web Services** (AWS), especially **Redshift**, **Lambda**, **S3**,** and **CloudWatch**: - ** 5+ years** of **Python** development for scripting, orchestration, and API interactions - ** Advanced** **SQL** skills for data transformation, modeling, and performance optimization - Proven experience with: - ** Astronomer** (**Airflow**)—or equivalent orchestration tool—for at least 2 years - Building and maintaining **REST** **API** integrations for data ingestion - ** DLT**, the open-source Python library, to implement standardized load processes - ** DBT** for data modeling and creation of tables and views - Familiarity with **version control systems** (e.g., Git), **CI/CD** pipelines, and **infrastructure-as-code** tools is a plus - Experience working with data from **marketing** **platforms**, **ticketing** **systems**, **CRM** platforms, and **sales** **performance** **tools** is highly desirable - Strong **collaboration** **skills** and comfort working in distributed, cross-functional teams **About the Company**: Odisea fue fundada bajo la creencia de que las empresas increíbles solo pueden ser construidas sobre la base de una cultura intencional cultivada por personas excelentes.
