Recruitment Manager (Hiring for both USA and Canada) Department Header : We are looking for an experienced VDI Engineer specializing in Enterprise Windows 365 to join our IT team. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and management of our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment within Microsoft’s Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in virtual desktop solutions, a deep understanding of Microsoft 365/Azure ecosystems, and expertise in optimizing virtual environments for a seamless user experience. You will also perform technical and administrative planning and design of Yum! Brands Global Above Store workstation portfolio. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving and a strong technical aptitude is important. Responsibilities: Assist configuration and deployment of the Windows 365. Monitor, analyze, and adjust the VDI environment to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction, including resource allocation, load balancing, and network optimizations. Assist with the creation, management, and maintenance of virtual desktop machines, provisioning policies, and resource scaling to optimize performance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues within the VDI infrastructure, working closely with users and other IT teams to resolve issues promptly. Assist implementing security best practices and compliance policies for virtual desktops, including multi-factor authentication, data protection policies, and access controls. Assist developing scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to automate provisioning, deployment, and maintenance tasks within the Windows 365 environment. Create and maintain documentation for VDI configurations, policies, and procedures. Generate usage and performance reports as needed for management and compliance purposes. Work closely with the Infrastructure, Security, and Support teams to ensure a seamless and secure virtual desktop experience. Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in VDI management, with specific expertise in Windows 365 and/or Azure Virtual Desktop. Proficiency in Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop setup, configuration, and administration. Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD, resource groups, and networking concepts. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for task automation and environment optimization. Familiarity with network protocols, firewall rules, and security practices for virtualized environments. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Requirements: Preference for appropriate Microsoft Certification(s) or equivalent experience including: Legacy: MCITP-Enterprise, MCSE, MCSA, MCDST Microsoft Certified: Windows Virtual Desktop Specialty Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Other VDI Platform experience a plus (VMWare Horizon, Amazon Workspaces) Linux and MacOS experience a plus.
