This role is based in Colombia and will report into the HR lead. The successful candidate should have generalist experience and be comfortable working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The HR Manager, will be responsible for providing an operational HR service, to include advice, guidance and support on a range of people issues, including employee relations, to stakeholders at varying levels of the Turner & Townsend business including Directors and Partners. Working closely with the HR Leadto deliver the People Plan, projects and the HR calendar to support business strategy. Employee Relations: Manage a range of employee relations issues, up to and including dismissal. Advise and coach Managers on performance management issues. Advise and coach Managers on the application of HR policy. Have a thorough understanding of employment law; with the ability to applyitsprinciplesin a commercial business environment. Onboarding/Offboarding: Managethe new joiner process, preparingonboarding material such as contracts and supporting with local inductions. Manage the offboarding process. Reporting/HR System: Maintain HR system records for people related issues. Work closely with the payroll function to ensure accuracy regarding all people related information. Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests. Qualifications 3 - 5 years of experience as HR Manager or HR Generalist. Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application Fluent in English and Spanish. Able to demonstrate experience across all employee relation disciplines. Able to manage time effectively between generalist HR activities and recruitment. Process driven, able to manage the HR processes and policies in Colombia keep them up to date with any changes in legislation. Ensures that decisions and courses of action are consistent with Turner & Townsend’s policies, values and priorities. Provides clear rationale and supporting data to justify recommended solutions. Takes personal responsibility to complete actions and resolve issues. Cooperative team member who shares skills and knowledge. Listens effectively to understand wider issues and the impact on others. Prepares and uses facts and constructive arguments to express views and conclusions. Proactively identifies and resolves client issues, identifying and communicating lessons learned.
