The Legal & Compliance Specialist ANCAC / COLOMBIA is responsible for providing support on legal and compliance-related matters within the organization by contributing with the affiliate compliance of local legal regulations, and Ethics & Compliance Standards and related risks. The selected candidate will support the identification of legal and ethical risks by guiding employees through global and local processes. This role will support the affiliate’s Legal & Compliance Director ensuring consistent compliance program roll-out and appropriate legal support throughout the organization. This role is based in Bogotá, Colombia. Core Job Responsibilities Collaborate with the reorganization of the Legal & Compliance Department. Actively engage the affiliate collaborators by setting up the tone and cascade global/regional messages to maintain an elevated level of awareness on legal and ethical business conduct. Provide legal support to different areas of the company by drafting agreements, providing legal opinions on medium-high level of complexity, and engaging transversally with different areas or departments. Act as a proactive business partner to guide the organization in the interaction with different stakeholders (healthcare organization, health care professionals, events organizer etc.) in a compliant manner. Support on delivering Compliance related trainings and follow up to ensure a right level of completion. Perform reviews to determine adequacy of internal controls and to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. Support to create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance issues. Support the implementation of Legal and Compliance Programs projects, such as, third-party due diligence process, monitoring program and legal processes harmonization programs. Prepare and present reports on topics related to Legal, Ethics & Compliance matters to the executive committee. Basic Qualifications Graduate degree in Law, from an accredited institution. Postgraduate studies are a plus. Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical compliance environment and legal pharma regulations. Experience interacting with business operations. Business partner spirit and knowledge of pharmaceutical lifecycle, business-oriented mind-set. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of the team to enable higher performance. Learns fast, grasps the “essence” and can change the course quickly where indicated. Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo.
