GP Transco is seeking a General Manager who is responsible for managing GP Transco remote service center based in Medellin, Colombia. The service center includes functions in accounting, human resources, operations, and brokerage. This position works closely with US managers in identifying needs, investigating, and resolve issues with remote staff ensuring that the Company's superior customer service is provided. **Duties & Responsibilities**: - Responsibility for aiding in the development and implementation of location budget, local office policies, and procedures. - Control]Meets regularly with US managers to obtain information and feedback on the location’s staff performance, receive complaints, and analyzes needs and expectations. - Ensures that excellent, professional communications are maintained with drivers, internal staff, and customers. Ensures that all internal and external customers' expectations are met or exceeded. - Assist in scheduling, supervising, and directs staff in coordination with US managers, ensuring excellent customer service and optimal performance. - Provides inspired leadership through effective location objective setting and communication. Maintains a good information flow. Ensures personnel are timely and thoroughly informed. Conducts meetings to inform, train, and seek solutions for identified problems. Ensures employees understand Company policies and procedures and the importance of customer service - Identifies training needs in coordination with US managers and assists in developing and implementing programs to meet them. Follows-up on employee training (e.g., customer service and safety training) to ensure effective implementation. Cross -trains employees, as necessary. - Promotes teamwork. Encourages employee involvement, suggestions, and problem solving. - Formulates and implements corrective action plans as needed with US managers and ensures that all employees are treated fairly and consistently. - Keeps key management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. - Completes special projects as assigned. **Requirements & Skills** - Bachelor’s degree required. - Excellent English verbal and written communications skills - Minimum of five years supervisory and management experience of large groups. - Experience with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel and slide presentation necessary. - Ability to function in fast-paced environment. - Well organized and attentive to detail.
