The department will be hiring for seven positions. Responsibilities include reviewing complex clinical documentation and diagnostic results to accurately assign codes for diagnoses (ICD-10-CM), procedures (CPT), and applicable modifiers, ensuring maximum reimbursement and regulatory compliance. Assist in auditing medical records to identify issues with coding and reimbursement, such as edits, denials, and appeals. Act as a liaison between third-party payers and departments to coordinate professional coding activities. Provide support and training to faculty, residents, and staff on medical record documentation, coding standards, Medicare billing changes, and relevant regulations. Ensure compliance with organizational policies like Quality Assurance, Remote Work, and Productivity. Remote working options are available.
