What You’ll Be Doing As a Learning Support Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students in the classroom. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to aid learning and development. • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities. • Helping pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum. • Providing emotional, social, and behavioural support to pupils as required. • Encouraging and promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning. • Assisting with personal care needs where necessary. • Monitoring pupil progress and reporting back to the teacher. • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other staff. • Following safeguarding procedures to ensure pupil welfare. What We’re Looking For • You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK. • Previous experience working as a LSA or with children essential. • NVQ Diploma Level 2 or 3 is desirable. • A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively. • A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
