Job Description: As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for providing support and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database platforms. This includes ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of our databases across multiple environments. Responsibilities: - Maintain the performance of all database platforms through regular maintenance and monitoring. - Ensure backup procedures are in place and available for disaster recovery purposes. - Provide administration and support for areas surrounding security, SQL Agent jobs, and SSIS packages. - Consult and collaborate with other teams on database-related projects and initiatives. - Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures. - Develop and maintain documentation for database systems and processes. Requirements: - Significant experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration with production support. - Knowledge of clustering and virtualization concepts. - Experience working with and supporting AlwaysOn Availability Groups. - Strong understanding and experience using T-SQL languages. - Good understanding and experience with source control and versioning methodologies and technologies. - Able to work within a team environment and also independently. - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong drive to learn, develop, and continually improve and automate the estate.
