Electrical Engineering Specialist "> Overview At AECOM, we're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer V to join our team in Bogota, Colombia. This role will be pivotal in designing electrical circuits, systems, and equipment, with a focus on power systems, electric service and supply systems, and lighting systems. The responsibilities include: - Designing and coordinating electrical systems for various types of infrastructure. - Performing detailed electrical calculations for installations such as power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, and electrical studies. - Providing technical input for studies, designs, and technical assessments within the electrical engineering field. - Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and fully integrated designs. - Conducting quality control reviews of electrical designs, calculations, and drawings to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability. - Preparing and managing technical specification sections related to electrical systems, ensuring they meet project requirements. Requirements Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. - Experience in developing Medium Voltage and High Voltage drawings, quantities list, specifications, and reports in accordance with project requirements and industry standards (IEC/IEEE/ANSI). - Experience in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage systems, power utilities systems. - Experience performing early project design work such as conceptual studies, electrical loads, equipment sizing and selection, datasheets, and general arrangements. - Proficiency with at least one engineering software. - Knowledge of local and international American and European regulations. - Intermediate/Advanced command of English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering + 10 years of experience. - Experience working with Revit to create 3D BIM models of electrical systems, adhering to all Levels of Development (LOD). - Experience working with Common Data Environment platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC). - Resourcefulness, highly organized, professional with attention to detail and people skills. - Familiarity with clash detection software (Naviswork). - Experience with renewable energy. - Experience in projects such as water treatment facilities, industrial installations, transportation, buildings, and utilities.
