About the job: At Kent we are looking for a Principal Engineer - Piping to support ongoing projects. The role will include the development and analysis of efforts following standards and customer requirements, technical support to engineers in the review and improvement of standards, and participation in audits to resolve findings and optimize processes. Skills and Responsibilities: Responsibilities: - Design Elaboration: Elaborate and review designs (documents and drawings) and incorporate comments, according to specific requests from the Engineering area and Projects, using the software and office package and standards, in order to comply with the requirements of each discipline. - Planning and Execution: Plan and supervise the execution of each project, defining the scope, applicable standards and assigning priorities to the work group to comply with the Detailed Work Plan (DWP) and the man hours of the project. - Bid Preparation: Be able to define, as needed, the resource estimation, through project knowledge and experience, in order to obtain a proposal that meets the client's requirements. - Technical Quality Management in deliverables: Use the tools and methods established by the company to control the quality of the deliverables, according to the specialty to which it is assigned, using the standards and control schemes that have been defined, in order to ensure that all projects meet the parameters of Quality and Compliance defined in the Quality Plan for each project and the Promise of Value. - Registration and control of man-hours: Register the consumption of man-hours of each deliverable / activity in the system of registration and control of man-hours established by the company, in order to monitor the profitability of the project. - Support in Customer Technical Queries: Respond to technical queries made by the client, interacting in formal and periodic meetings, in order to adequately resolve concerns and identify possible changes in scope or rework that require immediate implementation of change control actions. Expert knowledge and development of piping classes. Sobre el cargo: En Kent estamos buscando un Senior Engineer I - Piping para apoyar proyectos en curso. Su rol incluirá la elaboración y análisis de esfuerzos siguiendo normas y requisitos del cliente, el apoyo técnico a ingenieros en la revisión y mejora de estándares, y la participación en auditorías para solucionar hallazgos y optimizar procesos. Sus responsabilidades - Elaboración de Diseños: Elaborar y revisar diseños (documentos y planos) e incorporar comentarios, de acuerdo con solicitudes puntuales del área de Ingeniería y de los Proyectos, utilizando el software y paquete office y normas, con el fin de dar cumplimiento a los requerimientos de cada disciplina. - Planeación y Ejecución: Planear y supervisar la ejecución de cada proyecto, definiendo el alcance, las normas aplicables y asignando prioridades al grupo de trabajo para cumplir con el Plan Detallado de Trabajo (PDT) y las horas hombre del proyecto. - Elaboración de Ofertas: Estar en capacidad de definir, según sea necesario, la estimación de recursos, a través del conocimiento y experiencia de proyectos, con el fin de obtener una propuesta que cumpla con los requerimientos del cliente. - Gestión de Calidad Técnica en entregables: Utilizar las herramientas y métodos establecidos por la compañía, para el control de la calidad de los entregables, de acuerdo con la especialidad a la cual se encuentra asignado, utilizando los estándares y esquemas de control que hayan sido definidos, con el fin de garantizar que en todos los proyectos se cumplan los parámetros de Calidad y Cumplimiento definidos en el Plan de Calidad de cada proyecto y en la Promesa de Valor. - Registro y control Horas – Hombre: Registrar el consumo de Horas Hombre de cada entregable / actividad en el Sistema de registro y control de Horas Hombre establecido por la empresa, con el fin de monitorear la rentabilidad del proyecto. - Apoyo en Consultas Técnicas de Clientes: Dar respuesta a las consultas técnicas que realice el cliente, Interactuando en reuniones formales y periódicas, con el fin de resolver adecuadamente las inquietudes e identificar los posibles cambios de alcance o retrabajo que obliguen a aplicar en forma inmediata acciones de control de cambios.
