Team Overview: The primary objective of the International CasualtyUnit is to produce profitable business for Everest InsuranceInternational (“EII”) and deliver superior service to our insuredsand brokers. This objective will be achieved through disciplinedunderwriting, proper program design and risk selection. RolePurpose: The primary purpose of this role is to partner in thedevelopment and execution of the Colombia underwriting strategy andsupport to the Active Underwriter and the wider underwritingcommunity across Everest Global Markets in its delivery. KeyAccountabilities: - Produce, Underwrite and service accounts and toassist with Casualty underwriting and departmental workflowsystems, processes, and related issues as necessary - Expand the Casualty portfolio in line with controls, underwriting strategy,and guidelines, while always maintaining a focus on bottom lineunderwriting profit and delivery - Responsible for developing andmaintaining relationships with key brokers and clients - Underwriteand price Casualty risks, including all forms of distribution, anddetermine the acceptability of risks for underwriting - Bindvarious coverages subject to authority level and answer inquiriesfrom producers - Prepare quotations and formal proposals on new andrenewal business - Ensure that documentation is completed timelyand accurately according to standards - Assist Head of Casualty inaddressing and resolving overdues, workflow, and various clericalissues as necessary - Effectively communicate with management onall issues both within and outside the Unit as needed - Interactand coordinate activities with other departments - Liaise withother underwriting departments as necessary - Recommend newprocedures and programs where warranted - Furnish intelligence onthe Casualty market, including competitor strengths and weaknesses - Responsible for complying with proper internal controls asnecessary to conduct job functions and / or carry outresponsibilities and / or administrative activities - Developbusiness through execution of new ideas and strategies ProfessionalExperience: - Minimum of a bachelor’s lawyer, businessadministrator, engineer degree or equivalent in business or arelated field, with experience in line of business as: Casualty and Financial Lines - 2-4 years of professional work experience Skills& Abilities: - Advanced English (required). - Outstandinginterpersonal relationship building, employee coaching, anddevelopment skills. - Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andother relevant tools. - High proactivity and accountability.
