Job Title: Desktop Development Platform Specialist About the Role The Desktop Development Platform Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the success of our desktop developer platforms. This involves partnering with a cross-functional team to implement best practice platform governance and enabling developer productivity through timely version updates and streamlined processes. This is a hybrid position, requiring both office days and remote work. The expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Key Responsibilities - New Platform Onboarding: Ensure successful onboarding of new platforms and versions to existing platforms through all required security and enablement steps. - Version Upgrade Planning and Management: Monitor platform upgrades and ensure n-1 availability in cooperation with security and packaging teams. - License Management: Manage distribution and access control for platform licenses, forecasting year-over-year demand, and ensuring access at the correct level. - Security, Compliance, and Audit: Lead security, compliance, and audit activities for the platform, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all assessments and attestations. - Platform Control and Governance: Manage allow/disallow list process and governance for platform components. - Developer Support: Provide internal L2 support for Developer Platforms when needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience. - Hands-on experience or related coursework in software development with a strong understanding of developer needs and preferences. - Foundation in software development methodologies and a wide range of developer products and tools. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications - 2 or more years of work experience. - Passion for solving problems and enabling team success. - Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to identify developer needs and find creative solutions.
