We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to drive AI initiatives within the American health industry. This role emphasizes developing agentic intelligence systems, building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, and creating ontologies to enhance business outcomes through advanced data-driven insights. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct thorough data exploration to validate NLP requirements and ensure data quality. 2. Perform NLP pre-processing tasks, including tokenization, lexical, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic analysis. 3. Define and implement NLP models aligned with business outcomes. 4. Contribute to building agentic intelligence systems and RAG frameworks. 5. Develop and manage ontologies to support data utilization and understanding. 6. Train and validate models through rigorous experimentation. 7. Document development processes, methodologies, and results. 8. Engage in text classification and sentiment analysis using traditional machine learning and deep learning models. 9. Continuously evaluate and improve NLP model performance. Requirements: - Solid experience as a Data Scientist in NLP projects. - Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Gensim. - Strong understanding of NLP techniques: Topic Extraction, Summarization, Categorization, Sentiment Analysis. - Experience with sequence-to-sequence models for translation, summarization, Q&A.; - Familiarity with topic modeling techniques like LDA and NMF. - Understanding of the full data science pipeline. - Experience with model validation metrics: accuracy, precision, recall, F1, ROUGE. - Awareness of ethical considerations in NLP. - Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills. - Excellent communication skills in English and experience working on international projects. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage state-of-the-art techniques. Nice to Have: - Experience with Databricks. - Knowledge of Transformers, BERT, NER. - Background in data engineering and MLOps, Azure ML, Azure DevOps. - Knowledge of data protection regulations (PII, CCPA, HIPAA).
