What we are looking for: We seek a seasoned, hands-on Data Architect with experience designing and implementing cloud-native data solutions and infrastructure. The candidate will strategically create roadmaps to consolidate multiple sources into a centralized data repository, ensuring single sources of truth, data quality, and governance. Main Responsibilities: 1. Assess the current state of data architecture, solutions, principles, policies, and standards, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization. 2. Define the future state data architecture, aligning strategic vision with technical execution and focusing on business strategy. 3. Collaborate with stakeholders and capability teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions. 4. Design and develop data platforms to ingest, store, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets from sources like blobs, files, APIs, streaming, and databases. You have: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred) in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 9+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles, preferably in the IT services and consulting industry. - 2+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, preferably Azure. - Hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions and pipelines using cloud technologies and modern data stack tools like Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, etc. - Extensive knowledge of data warehousing/lake architectures, data modeling, data integration, and big data processing frameworks. - Strong programming skills in SQL and Python, Java, or Scala. - Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and data security best practices. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with technical and business teams. Nice to have: - Cloud-related architecture & data certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Pro). - Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc. - Exposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, Apache Flink, Azure Event Hubs.
