Assistant Manager - C-Store (Knox Abbot) The Assistant Store Manager is an entry-level management position responsible for day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning work, focusing on store operation performance, coaching, and developing subordinate Shift Supervisors and other associates. This role provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn management skills and exercise judgment and discretion. It is a non-exempt position reporting to the General Store Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise daily activities of multiple associates. Assign work tasks and activities. Prepare daily orders, maintain inventory levels, and ensure stock accuracy following policies set by the Asset Protection Team. Conduct on-the-job training for associates to ensure they acquire necessary skills. Ensure compliance with brand standards and health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Use judgment to resolve routine issues and escalate complex problems. Support and coach team members to achieve business goals. Provide ongoing feedback aligned with individual and business development goals. ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Up to 1 year of experience in low-volume Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations, or related supervisory or entry-level management experience. Strong team management, delegation, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Applegreen’s policies, products, and operational standards. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Minimum age of 18 years. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
