A Day in the Life Within Global Regions ITMO we are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a passion for Agile and Scrum and a strong focus on delighting customers. Someone who can take our teams to the next level and is not afraid to be disruptive and challenge the status quo. You can coach the developers, the Product Owner, and the surrounding organization. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and love to experiment to test your assumptions. As a Principal IT project lead (Scrum Master), you help Medtronic succeed by establishing a clear focus on the customer and the delivery of value and high quality. You are an active and deep listener, focusing on what is being said instead of what you want to say. Coaching and guiding the teams in self-management and cross-functionality is key to this role. You ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox. With that, you help the Product Owner improve the way the product is managed by establishing empirical product planning and creating transparency. You work together with a group of motivated Agile practitioners to lead, train, and coach Medtronic in its’ change effort. This will be a remote position based in Colombia. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Helping the team focus on creating high-value solutions that meet agreed quality standards Create transparency through visual dashboards, information radiators, and actively promoting clarity in all communications Ensure that development activities are accurately accounted for in existing project management tooling and processes Causing the removal of impediments that slow the team down Optimize effectiveness of the product team, by coaching team members in self-management and cross-functionality Coaching the team towards high performance and ownership of its own learning & improvement journey Help employees, leaders and other stakeholders to understand and apply empirical approaches to complex product development. Ensure that the chosen agile methodology is applied effective Coaching and mentoring team members and others in the organization to understand and get maximum value from using agile methodologies Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in global initiatives across functional and regional organizations Develops and manages all facets of the project(s) from intake through implementation and closure Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree Five years of experience in IT software development as a Scrum Master in a coaching/facilitating role Fluent in English Extensive experience within a complex IT organization in the last two years Demonstrable experience with improving the effectiveness of teams Knowledge of and experience of coaching teams Official Scrum Master certificate, PSM-II or equivalent Knowledge of and experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean, DevOps and team coaching Knowledge of Continuous Delivery principles Strong preference for proficiency in Portuguese is advantageous Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
