Visit https://bit.ly/EmaptaTrainingCalendar) Qualifications Needed - Strong knowledge of immigration procedures and forms (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-765, H-1B, PERM) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in legal drafting - Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) are a strong plus - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Proficient in using legal software and case management tools - Previous experience in immigration (preferred) - Experience in drafting complaints (preferred) - Awareness of legal processes (a plus) Responsibilities Case Preparation and Management: - Prepare and draft immigration forms, petitions, and applications, including family-based petitions, work visas, adjustment of status, asylum, and naturalization applications. - Assist in preparing supporting documentation and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all filings. - Manage deadlines and track case progress from start to completion, coordinating with clients and the attorney on case developments. Client Communication: - Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status and answering routine questions. - Schedule and prepare clients for interviews, explaining the immigration process and setting expectations. - Translate documents and conversations as needed if bilingual, assisting non-English-speaking clients. Legal Research and Documentation: - Stay informed on changes in immigration laws and policies. - Collect, review, and organize client documentation, such as visas, passports, and other essential paperwork. - Organize and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with firm protocols and immigration regulations. Administrative Duties: - File and maintain both physical and electronic case files in line with firm and legal requirements. - Prepare and send letters, emails, and notifications to clients regarding case developments or additional information requests. Court and USCIS Representation Support: - Coordinate with government agencies, including USCIS and the Department of Homeland Security, for case follow-ups. - Assist in preparing legal briefs, motions, and responses for court filings or replies to Requests for Evidence (RFEs).
