Responsibilities - Provide Level 2 support for our trading systems. - Escalate issues with detailed analysis, replicate problems in test environments, and collaborate with development teams for resolutions. - Document outages, participate in Incident and Problem Management, and interact with development teams. - Engage with traders to understand workflows and improve support. - Create and enhance automation tools for operational workflows. - Develop monitoring infrastructure for proactive issue detection. - Assess risks and advise on change and release timings. - Investigate user queries related to logs, orders, and pricing. - Query SQL Server databases to support investigations. - Coordinate with IT, QA, Dev, and Infrastructure teams for software rollouts following ITSM/ITIL best practices. - Interact regularly with front, middle, and back-office teams. - Provide out-of-office hours support, including weekends, and communicate effectively with offshore teams. Qualifications - Minimum 3 years’ experience in application support. - Proficiency in PowerShell/Python for automation. - Strong SQL and database knowledge, preferably with SQL Server. - Team player with the ability to work under pressure. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across technologies. - Experience supporting multi-tier applications and distributed systems. - Fluent in English (written and spoken). - Passion for technology, self-motivated to learn and improve. - Ability to prioritize and work independently, with a focus on process improvement. - Experience with programming languages is a plus. - Availability for on-call support, including weekends. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of Linux command shell. - Trading floor experience. - Financial sector experience, particularly in trading environments. - Familiarity with FIX/Exchange protocols. - Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies. - Knowledge of connectivity and order routing in equity trading. - Experience with Visual Studio, TFS, Jira, Confluence, messaging systems (TIBCO, JMS), and open-source tools like Elasticsearch, Grafana, Time Series Databases. - Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps practices.
