As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. Responsibilities - Lead and participate in the end-to-end lifecycle of microservices, from technical planning and requirements gathering to design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation. - Design and implement resilient, secure, and scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Docker, deployed on AWS container platforms like Amazon ECS or EKS. - Develop and manage robust integrations between microservices using AWS native services, including exposing and securing endpoints with API Gateway, implementing asynchronous communication with SQS and SNS, and building event-driven workflows with EventBridge. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform and CI/CD services like AWS CodePipeline. - Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch and implement distributed tracing with AWS X-Ray to ensure service health and enable rapid root cause analysis. - Collaborate effectively with team members in an Agile/Scrum environment, mentoring junior developers and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development practices. Qualifications - 5+ years of professional experience building and operating back-end services with Java. - Proven expertise in designing and deploying cloud-native applications using a microservices architecture with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. - Hands-on experience with core AWS services for microservices, including: - Containerization & Compute: Docker, Amazon ECS / EKS - Application Integration: API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge - DevOps & IaC: CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline), CloudFormation / Terraform - Observability & Security: CloudWatch, X-Ray, IAM, Secrets Manager - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed systems. - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Strong communication skills and experience working effectively in an Agile/Scrum team.
