Job Description This role involves the development and maintenance of an effective accounting system. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and a 'big picture' business perspective. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, this role supports budgeting and forecasting, as well as other finance activities. Key Responsibilities: - Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial statement close processes. - Prepare and/or review manual journal entries as needed, ensuring all records have adequate supporting documentation. - Calculate sales bonuses and oversee Independent Rep Commission payments for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. - Act as the legal representative for entities in Mexico and Colombia. - Maintain a system of internal controls over accounting transactions and review financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy. - Issue timely and complete financial statements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements. - Support internal, external, and statutory audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. - Support financial planning and budget management functions for business units in Mexico and Central America. - Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budgets and forecasts. - Oversee credit management and ensure policies and practices are being followed correctly and unnecessary risks are not being taken. - Provide ad-hoc and scheduled reporting for decision-making and metric tracking for all departments across the organization. - Support due diligence and subsequent integration of potential acquisitions. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong communication and presentation skills are required, both verbal and written at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate should utilize common sense to carry out instructions, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have attention to detail while maintaining a big picture business perspective. Frequent decision-making is required, affecting the work operations of employees and clientele to a moderate degree. Understand complex accounting principles and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
