SeuratTechnologies is seeking a Senior Additive Manufacturing ProcessEngineer to work on a revolutionary and proprietary Laser PowderBed Fusion (LPBF) based Additive Manufacturing (AM) or 3D printingtechnology. This new Area Printing technology greatly enhances thequality and productivity of metal additive manufacturing process. The ideal candidate demonstrates comprehensive capabilities to useadditive manufacturing method to produce product and processmaterials that involves: (a) creating printing and manufacturingplan for specific product requirement, (b) tuning processparameters for optimal results, (c) operating the printer to printparts, (d) conducting design of experiment, (e) conducting basictroubleshooting and maintenance of printing and ancillaryequipment. Responsibilities: - Use in-house developed as well ascommercial additive manufacturing data preparation software(Materialise Magics, Autodesk NetFabb, etc.) to create printingplan and printing files. - Develop part printing process based onfirst principles, materials characterization results, metrologydata, process data, and modeling and simulation results. - Designpart printing process to achieve geometrical features (overhangs,bridges, thin walls, support structures, surface finish, etc.) -Optimize process parameters (laser, gas flow, thermal, powderspreading, etc.). - Conduct Design of Experiments (DOEs), operateprinters to print parts, and create test reports. - Guidetechnicians to conduct post processing of printed parts. - Conductbasic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on production andancillary equipment. - Collaborate with design engineers to improveprinter performance. Requirements: - B.S. or above in engineeringdisciplines. - 10+ years of experience in manufacturing,engineering, or R&D; in related fields. - Strong verbal andwritten communication skills. - Work effectively with a crossfunctional and multidisciplinary team environment. - Travel up to10%. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience of working incommercial metal AM manufacturing facilities (service bureaus,manufacturing divisions, laboratories, etc.) is highly preferred. -Experience in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) based metal printingis strongly preferred. - Experience in laser welding of commonlyused metal (ferrous and nonferrous) materials. - Experience indesigning and operating sophisticated industrial equipment. -Background in metallurgy, solid state physics, and mechanicaldesign.
