Job Description We are seeking a skilled programmer who specializes in Microsoft programming languages and will be an integral part of our client's team, responsible for developing custom apps for internal process improvements and customer-facing interfaces. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with Windows 10/11, both as a user and in troubleshooting support roles. They should also possess a strong background in programming .NET based web systems and be well-versed in Microsoft technologies and methodologies. In this role, the primary responsibilities will involve enhancing our existing in-house software stack, integrating and optimizing third-party software to align with our workflows, and providing end-user support for these various systems. Responsibilities - Create and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure high performance - Maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases - Manage specialized web systems (e.g., workflows, user management, permissions) - Create user manuals and test documentation - Review peer code - Interact with users and perform user-acceptance testing of code prior to promotion - Provide help desk, technical, and system maintenance support - Respond immediately to departments when paged - Perform Windows system administration - Fulfill on-call duties in a support capacity Requirements: - Experience with the Microsoft development stack - Microsoft .NET Framework + Core (design and maintenance) - Microsoft SQL Server (query design and performance tuning) - IIS (deployment and infrastructure) - Proven experience building web-based UIs - Report development (web-based and/or Crystal Reports) - PowerShell scripting in deployment and management capacities - Power user skills in Windows 10/11 (preferably in a domain environment) - Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Windows Server (asset) - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment - Detail-oriented with respect to time and cost management of system development - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - 5+ years of related work experience - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST (hours may be adjusted as needed) Benefits - Excellent Compensation Salary - PTO 10 days - 6 local Holidays + 4 Canadian holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr
