About the role - The Virtual Legal Clerk will perform administrative tasks to support the Legal and Operations teams with the virtual aspects of case flows for all phases in the case handling process. This individual assists with maintaining organized files, uploading documents, and launching task sets in the case management system. This position requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively with multiple departments. The candidate must also be bilingual in both English and Spanish. What you'll do - Receive incoming mail sent via scanned documents from the in-person Legal Clerk team and support required tasks including uploading into case files in the case management system, updating notes, or launching task sets. Ensure deadlines for responses are met to comply with USCIS deadlines. - Maintain accurate records within the case management system. - Notify internal departments of case submissions, receipts, and other documents received from the government to ensure no missed appointments or deadlines during the immigration process. - Provide virtual clerical work including updating cover letters, preparing shipping labels, and sending requests to local and federal government agencies. - Utilize software to merge, create, and upload documents to shared drives or the case management system. - Support the in-office Legal Clerk team by creating accurate labels to support various steps in the process, including case submissions, signature packets, biometric notices, and FBI requests. Ensure labels are in compliance, error-free, and prevent delays in the legal process. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent experience. - Previous legal assistance or immigration law experience preferred. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including Dropbox, SharePoint, or CRM. - Ruthless attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Proven ability to work independently and proactively. - Ability to problem solve independently or with leadership support. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
