Role Overview We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead Leal’s technology vision, architecture, and engineering organization. You will be responsible for scaling our platform, team, and systems to meet the demands of a growing product suite and expanding customer base. As CTO, you will partner closely with the CEO, CPO, COO and other leaders to turn technical excellence into business advantage. Key Responsibilities Technology Vision & Architecture ● Define and evolve Leal’s long-term technology architecture for scalability, performance, and security. ● Drive a modern, modular, and data-centric stack suitable for personalization, loyalty automation, and AI/ML-driven recommendations. Leadership & Team Building ● Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team across multiple squads ● Establish strong engineering processes, code quality standards, and an accountable delivery culture. Execution & Delivery ● Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product initiatives in close partnership with the Product and Data teams. ● Own the technical roadmap, resource planning, and velocity tracking. Cross-Functional Collaboration ● Work closely with commercial, customer success, and operations teams to align tech with customer needs. ● Participate in enterprise sales conversations and client integrations when needed. Risk, Security & Infrastructure ● Oversee DevOps, security, compliance (SOC2, data privacy), and uptime standards across the platform. ● Guide key decisions on build-vs-buy, vendor selection, and infra optimization. Requirements ● 10+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role (e.g. VP Eng, CTO). ● Proven experience scaling B2B SaaS platforms in data-heavy environments. ● Strong technical breadth: backend architecture, distributed systems, data pipelines, API design, security. ● Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities. ● Fluent in Spanish; English proficiency required for investor and partner interactions. ● Bonus: Experience in martech, loyalty, or e-commerce platforms.
