National Senior Legal Consultant on Child Rights for UNICEF Armenia CO The National Senior Legal Consultant on Child Rights will provide consultancy and guidance to the HR Department on human rights and child rights aspects within the context of refugee situations. The consultant will support the implementation of fact-finding missions, including through training sessions for the HR staff, development of checklists and analyses of collected data. They will conduct research and contribute to the preparation of an ad hoc report on the situation of child rights among the refugee population. Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert guidance to the HR Department on child rights issues and in interpreting and applying international law principles to the specific human rights and child rights context faced by the displaced population. - Collaborate closely with the HR Department to plan and execute fact-finding missions. - Develop comprehensive checklists and data collection guides and tools to ensure the thorough gathering of relevant information during fact-finding missions in collaboration with UNICEF. - Conduct on-the-job training for HR staff to enhance their skills in conducting fact-finding activities. - Contribute to in-depth research on the child rights situation and the development of an ad hoc report on the situation of child rights among the refugee population.
