Senior Project Management Specialist (Humanitarian Assistance) Role About the Opportunity: The U.S. Mission in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Management Specialist to join our Humanitarian Assistance team. This role will oversee the implementation of complex humanitarian projects and provide technical guidance to ensure effective program management. Main Responsibilities: - Project Management: Oversee the implementation of complex humanitarian projects, ensuring activities align with broader strategic goals. - Technical Liaison: Serve as the technical liaison between USG officials and implementing partners in designated oversight roles. - Financial Management: Manage project and program budgets, ensuring funding pipelines and overseeing financial aspects of awards. - Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the DoS in key stakeholder engagements, manage information flows, and provide strategic input to inform decision-making. - Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop performance monitoring plans, oversee their implementation, conduct evaluations, and generate reports. Requirements: - Master's Degree: In public health/nutrition, food security/agriculture, international relations, project management or social sciences. - Experience: At least 7 years of professional work experience in Humanitarian Assistance, collaborating with governmental organizations, donor organizations, host government, or related organizations. - Language: English: Level 4 – Fluent; Arabic Level 3 – Good working knowledge. - Skills and Abilities: Superior written and oral communication skills, ability to analyze financial data, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and effective use of Google suite or equivalent software.
